We travled the journey up the path
Dirt roads, highways, and hallways
Don't count. We were never any good at math.
That's why we stayed; accustomed to our specific ways.
The birds all fly and the cat will chase.
Which one will be picked?
Not all can win first place.
One gests chosen, the others get tricked.
We meet the road's fork
A glint catches your eye
Of you and your torque,
Will i ever survive?
Seperate ways we now trek
Although we keep side by side
You move forward as i look to check.
You call my name; can you ever decide?
Forward you jet.
I watch you move on.
Should I regret?
Times are yet forgone.
Now we pass the finish line.
Off you go after your gilded prize.
To stay here is mine.
Alas, the confusion must arise.
I still see you looking back.
Still you go after your bait.
Will you return to the track?
All I can do is stand and wait.
Good diction, Eddie!! I really like your poem and it makes one think. Awesome!
